This week the Boy Genius Report managed to get their hands on Verizon’s upcoming Android-powered handset. The Motorola Droid is suppose to be running the new Android 2.0 firmware and will open up a new world of opportunity to Verizon’s customers.

The Motorola Droid, formally known as the VZW/MOTO is being said to be “thinnest QWERTY-slider we’ve ever seen,” the fastest Android device we’ve ever used,” and is “easily the most impressive.”

After hearing such news about this handset I am just about ready to jump ship and pick myself one up as soon as it hits. We all know what phone will be clouding my thoughts in the coming weeks. Hurry up and get here Droid!!
