If you’ve got a BlackBerry Storm and were hoping that the Storm OS 4.7.0.141 that was rumored for launch late last month was just slow in getting out, you’re going to be disappointed. According to BGR there is a big reason it hasn’t hit your phone yet… it failed Verizon Wireless network testing.

This is a just a rumor at the moment but you have to wonder what the next step is for Storm owners. Will they see a new OS come soon? Is BlackBerry going to refocus their energies on a more dramatic OS 5.0 update? Or perhaps the Storm 1 is frozen as the world waits for the BlackBerry Storm 2?

I’m sure most would prefer that they launch a 4.7.x update while they work on an OS 5.0 upgrade with of course the Storm 2 still on the way. It could happen – and keep your hopes up – but don’t count on anything.
