If you are about to buy the Verizon Hub please STOP RIGHT NOW! If you wait until Friday it is likely you’ll save an additional $50 if you’re also signing a 2-year contract. And on the flip side, if you have been holding off on buying the Hub because it is a wee-bit too pricey, Friday may be a day in your favor as well. EngadgetMobile has gotten a screenshot of some sort of internal Verizon document with the details:

They call it “reinventing its price” but in reality the Verizon Hub probably isn’t selling as well as hoped and they are probably anxious to get the product into more homes/hands. It has the potential to catch on and really do gangbusters but that word of mouth, viral “what kind of phone is that?” marketing needs to kick in. This is one way to jump start it. Engadget speculates that another reason is that they are making room for the Verizon Hub 2… but that is the first we’ve heard about any type of follow up device.
