If you’re planning on picking up a new phone/contract you may want to WAIT! Verizon has been notoriously bitter about Google’s entrance into the mobile space with their Android Operating System but it seems they have had a change of heart. And it doesn’t even seem like a  “cooler heads prevailed” kind of thing… it is more like a “I have the hots for you lets launch 4 Android Phones pronto” kind of thing.

That’s right – Verizon is rumored to be launching four – countem’ 1 2 3 4 – Android Phones by the end of 2009:

1. Motorola Sholes – we’ve known about this one for quite awhile and have even seen pretty clear pictures and full spec list for the device. This is a definite… only it won’t be called Sholes when it launches.
2. HTC Desire – first leaked by PhoneArena with a internal computer system screenshot
3. HTC Passion – DigiTimes is the culprit of letting this rumor fly as they say it will be out in 2009 as well
4. HTC Predator – we’re not totally sure about this but BGR claims the Predator is also an HTC Android headed for Verizon in the 4th Quarter

You’re going to have PLENTY of options to choose from in the next 90 days so don’t settle on something you sort of kind of like – wait until you find something you love. You won’t regret it, I promise you.
