LG Versa Game Pad Launches

by verizon voyager on April 27th, 2009

We told you the LG Versa Game Pad would come in April and just as scheduled, it is April and the LG Versa Game Controller is now available from Verizon Wireless. For LG Versa owners who purchased the device in hopes of more modules offering additional flexibility it is a wonderful update and although $29.99 seems a bit pricey, you can’t deny that playing games on the Versa is probably a real blast:

But the real question here is are there enough kick butt games available through Verizon Wireless to make the game pad and Versa worth it? That is totally a judgement call and we’re interested in hearing what you have to say. From my perspective it is all about gameplay and less about graphics, the gamepad has the perfect setup and all you need is two or three games you fall in love with and it seals the deal. I hope more phones somehow integrate this opportunity for a gaming pad because I think people would really enjoy it.

I have this game pad module and I haven’t found a game yet that the A/B/X/Y or select buttons even work on. I only found a few that the D-Pad and start buttons work on and they work very limited for those games. If Verizon doesn’t come up with some games that actually work for this module then I feel it would be a waste of money and useless to even purchase.
