Over the past couple months there have been several rumors blowing around stating that there will be a Pre coming to the Verizon Wireless. Among the rumors there have been ones stating that it would not come at all and others stating that the Pre that Verizon is getting will be an updated version from the one on Sprint.

Recently Verizon Wireless confirmed the Pre is coming in the statement: “We will be carrying the Palm Pre smartphone early next year.” While this does not inform us when exactly, the price or if this will be a different version we certainly are excited to see webOS get this kind of exposure among customers.

WebOS really needs to reach as many customers as possible very early on for a wider adoption of the platform because lets face it the Pre isn’t the factor that draws us to it, webOS is the hook that Palm has. Lets hope that people accept webOS and that we get some better handsets out of them in the near future.
