Motorola Sholes not running MOTOBLUR?
| by Shawn Brown on October 7th, 2009 |
When we heard about the Motorola Sholes coming to Verizon Wireless we suspected that it would be running the new MOTOBLUR because it’s a Motorola Android and it’s designed to be a “Google Experience” handset. It appears though that this may not be the case.
From what we can tell the handset that Verizon CEO, Lowell McAdam was holding was running nothing more than the basic stock Android operating system. Motorola put a lot of emphasis on MOTOBLUR as being what sets their Android-powered handsets apart from others on the market so this just seems really odd.
Let’s hope that this is some kind of early development model or that McAdam has something against MOTOBLUR and has just removed it from his personal handset. The other Android pictured was running Sense which means they were not both early models. We will keep you posted as we figure out more on the subject.
