New LG touchscreen BL40 Black Label phone revealed in Youtube Video

Just about a week after LG announced their upcoming announcement for the next generation LG Chocolate there was the release of a nice Youtube video showing off the very different yet familiar device. LG decided to loose the traditional Chocolate design for something a bit trendier.

Sleek touchscreens are the trend these days and it seems no one likes the old scroll wheel anymore; heck RIM ditched it a long time ago with their BlackBerry line. This newdesign features a wide 800 x 345 screen with 21:9 aspect ratio. The screen is said to support multi-touch and be scratch proof. Other features include HSDPA 7.2 WiFi browsing of full web pages and aGPS.
We all are aware that LG’s mobile phones are known for breaking and being made of poor quality materials, can it be that they did this one right or will this be another blunder? I can just see someone sticking this handset in their back pocket and accidentally sitting on it, breaking this thing in two. My opinion is that making it more longer than wide will make it more prone to snapping. What are you thoughts on LG’s newest idea?
