BlackBerry Storm 2 Hands On
| by verizon voyager on May 21st, 2009 |
You know the clicky screen button thing that made everything the original BlackBerry Storm was and was-not? It is gone, replaced with a regular capacitative touchscreen in the BlackBerry Storm 2. That is the main update with this phone, which we’ve been hearing about for quite awhile, and Engadget had the chance to play around with the hardware. Unfortunately the software wasn’t working but hey, what can ya do?
Here are some pictures, but you probably know what to expect. Hit the via link for the full gallery.
In terms of specs it has a very iPhone like touchscreen without surepress, 3.2MP camera, 3.5mm headphone jack and typical USB charger. So… how does everyone feel about BlackBerry ditching the click screen? It was a neat feature but apparently, Storm owners out there didn’t like it too much. Or perhaps it was causing too much of a boon in terms of development for the BlackBerry App World?
