Apple Tablet Coming To Verizon?

by verizon voyager on July 22nd, 2009

Verizon customers have grown accustomed to taking a back seat in the hardware department and there isn’t a better example of this than the iPhone. AT&T has exclusive rights to the iPhone and although Verizon iPhone rumors have lingered, it is disappointing to see the nation’s #1 carrier without the nation’s #1 phone.

But the hardware momentum may soon shift – rumors from The Street are pointing towards an Apple Tablet landing exclusively on Verizon in the not too distant future. The tablet will come with an always-connected data plan likely to be about 1/3 the cost of a voice plan and the actual cost of the tablet will be greatly subsidized by Verizon to keep it priced competitively.

This would be HUGE for Verizon and Verizon customers… and it would be awesome to see Apple start moving towards other mobile offerings that aren’t exclusive to AT&T.

If it is not a phone why bother…if it is a phone it looks like it might fit in my backpack….
